Service activities incidental to water transportation

The company is primarily engaged in the ownership and operation of ships and fleets. It was founded in November 1906, counting upon a small fleet of tugboats and water-suppliers. After continuous renewals and depending on the Port necessities, its fleet was made up by a wide range of tugs, dedicated not only to the inner port of Bilbao but also to the oil port. The manoeuvrability of its tugs, manned by skillful crews, is provided to suit all necessities. The company has a registered office located in Getxo in Vizcaya, Spain. Since 1906, the company's tugs have been designed to best meet the requirements for operating in the harbour, estuary and river of Bilbao. Their manoeuvrability has been the most important consideration taking into account, and so manned by skillful crews. Five tugs are basically dedicated to oil tankers berthing operations. These five units are endowed with very modern fire-fighting, antipollution and salvage equipments. Apart from these activities, they were conceived as oceangoing tugs as well, and so, this type of services are accomplished whenever the oil port necessitiesallow it. The company, with the ocean tugs, constantly undertaking towing of ships or any floating marine structure any distance, anywhere, proving records of greatest continuous success. It is also due to be mentioned the rescue and salvage operations brightly carried out, mainly in the Biscay Gulf, even in the worst weather conditions, due, without any doubt, to the characteristics and manoeuvrability of these tugs and the high degree of preparation and skill of their crews.
